Clinical Specialties and Treatment Modalities

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION AND TREATMENT

Working with children, parents and families across a wide range of mental health concerns, my work is cognitive-behaviorally focused with an emphasis on pragmatic and relational approaches to symptom resolution.

INTENSIVE FAMILY CONSULTATION

Sometimes the issues that concern you or your loved ones are complex and intersect with medical, educational, legal or other issues. I can work with you to coordinate and integrate your various treatment options into a coherent plan, as well as help you monitor its outcome.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

Many of the problems children experience are strongly connected to their successes, struggles and supports in school. Sometimes these educational issues are confusing and require advocacy to understand and resolve. I can work with you to understand your child's educational struggles, neuropsychological or educational evaluations, and options for additional supports.

NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION

Understanding the complex interplay between cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning is crucial in addressing individual needs. Utilizing a comprehensive assessment approach, we can identify underlying neuropsychological challenges, develop tailored interventions, and provide insightful feedback to families and educational teams. This assessment integrates clinical observations, standardized testing, and a personalized understanding of your child's needs to guide effective treatment and support strategies.

EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION

Navigating the complexities of learning style requires specialized assessment and advocacy. Through a detailed evaluation process, we can identify specific learning challenges, uncover hidden strengths, and create a roadmap for academic success. This assessment focuses on understanding your child's unique learning profile, determining the presence of learning disabilities, and advocating for appropriate educational supports and interventions. Together, we'll build a foundation for your child to thrive in their educational environment.

ADHD EVALUATION

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can significantly impact a child's learning, behavior, and daily life. Through a meticulous and compassionate evaluation process, we will assess the presence and nature of ADHD in your child. Utilizing evidence-based methods, the evaluation integrates information from various sources, including behavioral observations, standardized tests, and family input. With this comprehensive understanding, we will provide personalized strategies and supports to empower your child and family, enabling them to thrive in their daily activities and educational pursuits.

AUTISM SPECTRUM EVALUATION

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) presents a unique and diverse range of developmental challenges. Through a compassionate and specialized evaluation process, we can assess the characteristics and needs associated with ASD in your child. This in-depth evaluation combines standardized assessments, clinical observations, and collaboration with families and professionals to gain a holistic understanding of your child's unique profile. With this tailored insight, we can provide guidance, support, and interventions that will foster growth, understanding, and success for your child and family.
